2021 Citroen C3 Aircross engines

No new engines for the revised C3 Aircross this time around

The Citroen C3 Aircross is available with three engine options. There are two petrol units with either 110hp or 130hp. The former is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox while the latter gets a six-speed automatic as standard.

There is also a 110hp diesel engine which comes with a six-speed manual gearbox.

2021 Citroen C3 Aircross price and release date

The new Citroen C3 Aircross is on sale now. It costs from £17,320 for the base 110hp petrol-powered C-Series trim, rising to £23,080 for the range-topping Shine Plus trim equipped with the more powerful 130hp petrol engine.

The mid-spec Shine trim can be paired with either of the three engine options and comes standard with the new 9-inch infotainment system. All models come well-equipped, with even the base C-Series trim offering LED headlights, cruise control and smartphone connectivity. Keyless entry, Advanced Comfort seats and larger 17-inch alloys are reserved for the Shine Plus trim.

2021 Citroen C3 Aircross design

The revised C3 Aircross looks a bit angrier. You wouldn’t want to get in its way…

Put the 2021 Citroen C3 Aircross next to the outgoing car and the design differences are pretty obvious. The SUV gets a more aggressive-looking front end — almost as if someone has really annoyed it — with thin lower lights replacing circle units and a completely new grille design. There’s a new skid plate at the bottom of the bumper, too.

Changes elsewhere to the look of the C3 Aircross are minimal at best, but there’s plenty of new customisation options for you to pick from. There’s a choice of seven body colours — three of them new — three roof colours and four colour packs for trim bits. Basically, the likelihood of seeing a C3 Aircross the same as your own is pretty slim. New alloy wheel designs feature as well, in 16- and 17-inch sizes.

2021 Citroen C3 Aircross interior and infotainment

A sharper infotainment system and new seats make up the bulk of interior changes

Changes to the interior of the Citroen C3 Aircross aren’t drastic, but a few tweaks have been made to make it a little comfier. Citroen’s cushy ‘Advanced Comfort’ seats — as used to great effect in the larger C5 Aircross — make their way into the smaller SUV, while a sharper nine-inch touchscreen can be had on higher-spec cars.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come as standard, and you can tick a box for wireless phone charging if you’d like.

Citroen also offers what it calls ‘Ambiences’ inside the C3 Aircross. Basically, these are three different upholstery options for you to choose from. Entry-level cars get a grey colour scheme while higher-spec cars can be had with a graphite option or a fancier-looking grey.
