Hyundai i20 N Line design and interior

The i20 N-Line gets a bit more of an aggressive face

It’s not quite the full-whack N hot hatch, but the Hyundai i20 N Line does get some sportier design changes over the standard car.

17-inch alloys come as standard

Upfront, a new front bumper with a more aggressive-looking lower grille has been added along with N Line badging. 17-inch alloy wheels and extended side skirts feature down the side, with the rear getting a triangular fog lamp and twin-pipe exhaust exit.

There are a fair amount of red accents, inspired by the i20 N, inside this N Line

Inside the Hyundai i20 N Line, there’s a host of new red accents — including the stitching and around a number of controls — plus N-branded seats. Rounding out the changes are a new steering wheel and gearstick, plus black headlining.

Hyundai i20 N Line specs

You get a suite of safety tech as standard for the N-Line

The Hyundai i20 N Line is pretty well equipped. You get LED headlights and daytime running lights as standard, plus an upgraded 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring.

There’s plenty of safety gear as well. These include lane-keeping assistant, lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking. You’ll get automatic high beams too, along with cruise control for no extra cost.

Hyundai i20 N Line engine

Powering the Hyundai i20 N Line is a 1.0-litre petrol engine with a 48v mild-hybrid system

Powering the Hyundai i20 N Line is a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, linked up to a 48v mild-hybrid system. It produces 120hp and can be specced with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The manual gearbox sees torque down slightly over the automatic, coming in at 172Nm and 200Nm respectively, but  both crack the 0-60mph sprint in just a touch over 10 seconds and reach the same 118mph top speed.
