New Citroen e-Berlingo electric car on sale: prices and specs

An all-electric version of the Citroen Berlingo is now on sale. Read on for full details of this EV MPV.

Orders are now being taken for the all-electric Citroen e-Berlingo MPV, with prices starting from £29,575.

Small van-based MPVs are something of a rarity these days, but this new electric model presents an eco-friendly alternative to the Peugeot Rifter and Volkswagen Caddy Life.

New Citroen e-Berlingo electric car price and specs

The electric Citroen e-Berlingo qualifies for the £2,500 government plug-in car grant, so you can pick up an entry-level model for as little as £29,575.

This price will get you an ‘M’ wheelbase version of the car, which is capable of seating five people and has a boot capacity of 775 litres with all seats in place. Prices for an ‘XL’ car kick off at £31,575. These can seat seven and have 1,050 litres of boot space with the rearmost seats folded down.

‘M’ and ‘XL’ wheelbase versions are available

The ‘M’ and ‘XL’ model ranges kick off with ‘Feel’ trim, which come as standard with 16-inch steel wheels, LED daytime running lights and an eight-inch touchscreen to the e-Berlingo. Each version also comes with safety features such as lane-keeping assistance, cruise control and autonomous emergency braking for no extra cost.

Range-topping XTR Flair cars get a 10-inch digital driver’s display

Range-topping Flair XTR cars can only be had in ‘M’ guise, and costs from £32,280. This builds on Feel trim with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch digital driver’s display plus black and orange exterior trim highlights.

The e-Berlingo uses a 50kWh battery pack, good for 174 miles between charges

The Citroen e-Berlingo uses a 50kWh battery pack linked up to a 136hp electric motor. It can deliver 174 miles of range.

100kW rapid-charging is supported by the e-Berlingo

It supports up to 100kW rapid charging, which is said to be capable of recharging the batteries to 80% in less than 30 minutes. You can optionally spec an 11kW onboard charger that will let you fully charge the car at home using a 7.4kW wallbox in 4 hours and 45 minutes.
