Toyota car design has been accused of being a bit dull in the past but you can’t say that of the Toyota RAV4. It’s a hybrid SUV that won’t go unnoticed. Toyota has been making hybrid cars for more than 20 years, so you can be pretty sure the RAV4 will be reliable too. Its infotainment isn’t the best though.

Kia offers the Niro as a traditional hybrid, a plug-in hybrid and a full electric car, but it is the standard Niro hybrid that gets our vote here. Officially it should manage an average of 59mpg, but expect a bit lower than that in real-life driving. It’s easy and comfortable to drive with a practical cabin, too.
