Honda HR-V Hybrid interior
The HR-V has a bright and modern cabin alongside excellent tech that is up there with the best small SUVs. Roofline might be tight for taller passengers in the back though.
Style
It may not be the fanciest cabin around, but Honda has made it very tidy and easy to navigate. In the Advance Style model we drove, it comes with orange stitching on the steering wheel and seats, and trim pieces around the gear lever.
The HR-V’s cabin is one of the brghtest compared to alternatives on the market, with the windows allowing in plenty of light and the lighter coloured fabric in our car making this a very nice place to be.
With leather and cloth combining for the seat upholstery, the overall interior trim quality is good, although there are scratchy plastics to be found throughout – especially on the doors and below the level of the dashboard.

Infotainment
Compared to the previous HR-V, the infotainment system is vastly improved. The 9-inch touchscreen setup, which is fitted as standard, is smooth and offers wireless smartphone connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Even when sitting further back as a taller driver, you can still easily use it.
You also get a small display in the instrument binnacle, which allows you to cycle through all the useful information. However, Honda has kept an analogue speed dial, which makes for an odd combination, but it works nicely.
A useful feature is that when using your smartphone’s navigation system, directions are then put on the display mounted on the left side of the instrument binnacle. A small feature, but a useful one.
