Vauxhall Mokka-e interior
Looks good inside and, for the most part, feels nice and solid. The infotainment system isn’t the easiest to use, however.
Style
The new Vauxhall Mokka-e’s cabin looks more interesting than the Kia e-Niro’s interior. Go for a high-spec car and you can get brightly coloured trims to match the car’s exterior, which is a nice touch.
The high-mounted infotainment screen and digital driver’s display look lovely and modern, but it’s a bit of a shame the Mokka-e comes with a dull-as-dishwater steering wheel.
For the most part, the Vauxhall Mokka-e’s cabin feels solidly put together. There are a few cheap, scratchy plastics on the doors and beside the centre console, but the soft, squidgy dashboard and cool metal-effect trims feel much more upmarket.

Infotainment
As standard, the Vauxhall Mokka-e comes with a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
You get sat-nav as standard, but this is a little slow to react and the maps aren’t particularly clear. Handily. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come as standard, so you can connect your phone and use your preferred navigation apps through the Mokka-e’s built-in screen instead.
The rest of the system’s menus are fairly easy to operate, and the physical shortcut buttons make it easy to find the feature you’re looking for while you’re driving.
Higher-spec cars come with a larger 10-inch touchscreen that’s easier to read at a glance. It still isn’t the most responsive system out there, however, but at least you needn’t use it to control the Mokka-e’s climate control. That’s done using conventional (and very intuitive) knobs and dials – unlike in the Volkswagen ID3 and ID4.
These kitted-out models also come with a 12-inch digital driver’s display. This comes with minimalist graphics instead of old-fashioned analogue dials that are crisp and easy to read.
You can switch between different views using the shortcut buttons on the steering wheel, but these aren’t laid out as you’d expect, which can make them frustrating to use until you’ve got the knack of it.
