The Land Rover Discovery Sport will now be available with an upgraded Bluetooth system, allowing drivers and passengers to locate lost personal items using compact tracking technology – read on to find out how.

Land Rover has partnered with the Bluetooth tracking company Tile to integrate new systems into the Discovery Sport’s infotainment system. Buyers that choose to specify this option can attach small Tile tracking tags, shown above, to important personal items such as their mobile phones, keys and wallets. This will allow the onboard infotainment system to locate these items and even provide directions to their last known location.
You will even be able to configure warning notices to alert you if specific items are not in the car before you drive away. For example, leave your phone indoors and the car will notify you before you set off. This system can also trigger a 90 decibel alarm from the tile unit itself, should you lose it inside the car.
Land Rover claims this system, coupled with a Tile smartphone app, will cut down the “fifteen minutes a day” the average person spends searching for lost items. Customers will be able to purchase additional Tile tags to track an unlimited number of personal items, too.
The latest Discovery Sport will also be available with a Graphite styling pack, consisting of a new dark finish grille and side vents, a Corris Grey roof and black mirror caps. The exterior of SE and SE Tech models fitted with this pack will also benefit from new 19-inch alloy wheels.
