2017 Mercedes E-Class Coupe price, specs and release date

Official prices and specs for the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Coupe have been announced. Read on to find out exactly how much the German firm’s latest executive Coupe will set you back now the order books have opened.

Entry-level E220d versions come fitted with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that produces 194hp and can reach 62mph from rest in 7.4 seconds. This model emits as little as 119g/km of CO2 and can return 61.4mpg. In AMG Line guise – the only trim level currently offered by Mercedes in the UK – it’ll set you back £40,135.

Higher-spec E300 petrol models with a 245hp 2.0-litre engine cost £41,025 but can complete the 0-62mph sprint in a more spritely 6.4 seconds. Both fuel economy and emissions are less impressive than the diesel model, however – it’ll return 33.6mpg and emit 189g/km of CO2.

Customers looking for a top-spec E-Class Coupe are currently offered a £50,775 E400 model with 4MATIC four-wheel drive. This 3.0-litre V6 petrol model boasts a potent 333hp and can leap to 62mph from a standstill in just 5.3 seconds. It comes fitted with air suspension as standard, too – a £1,495 option on E220d and E300 models.

All current models come fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels, LED head and brakelights, a reversing camera, parking sensors and – in E300 guise – a sports exhaust system. Inside you’ll find heated front seats, split folding rear seats and an 8.4-inch infotainment display with sat nav. E400 models are offered with a larger 12.4-inch screen as standard.

An optional Premium Equipment pack offers memory seats, a panoramic sunroof and keyless go for £2,795 while a Premium Plus package adds adaptive LED headlights and an upgraded Burmester sound system for £3,895. The E400’s larger 12.3-infotainment display can be fitted to E220d and E300 models for an extra £1,495 while a similarly sized instrument display screen is offered for an additional £495.

A Lane Tracking pack that includes lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring features is available for £595 while further advanced safety systems are offered in the £1,695 Driving Assistance package. The latter comes with automatic emergency braking, evasive steering assist, and various speed limiting functions as standard.
