2021 Jaguar E-Pace design

Jaguar hasn’t changed a great deal about the way the E-Pace looks. It gets a very similar front grille and front bumper design, although there is a new plastic frame for each of the air intakes under the car’s headlights. The lights themselves come with LED innards, so you’ll never need to worry about changing blown bulbs again.
Both cars look almost identical from the rear.
The new E-Pace looks pretty much identical to the outgoing model from the side and the rear. But, look closer and you’ll spot a new silver trim piece ahead of the front doors and some redesigned plastic mesh between the exhaust pipes at the back. You can get an optional Black Pack, though, that gives the E-Pace some darkened badges instead of the standard car’s chrome.
You can get the new E-Pace with a range of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace engines

The new Jaguar E-Pace comes with a selection of 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The range kicks off with the 163hp diesel-powered model with a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive that Jaguar says will return 46.9mpg.
Besides entry-level diesel models, all new E-Paces come with mild-hybrid tech.

Next up is a mild-hybrid version of the same 163hp engine that uses a small electric motor to give the engine a boost when you accelerate to help you save fuel. This model gets a nine-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive and will return a claimed 44.3mpg.

There’s also a 204hp version of this 2.0-litre diesel engine with the same gearbox and all-wheel-drive system that should hit 43.9mpg – again, according to Jaguar.

Besides entry-level cars, all E-Paces come with all-wheel drive for better grip in winter weather.
There are plenty of petrol-powered cars to choose from, including two 2.0-litre models with 200hp or 249hp. The first of will accelerate from 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds while the second takes seven seconds flat.
Even quicker is the 300hp petrol version that’ll crack the 0-60mph sprint in 6.9 seconds. Every petrol-powered E-Pace comes with all-wheel drive, a nine-speed automatic gearbox and a mild-hybrid system as standard.
The new P300e plug-in hybrid model as its own unique rear bumper design.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace plug-in hybrid

There’s also a new plug-in hybrid version of the Jaguar E-Pace SUV, called the P300e. This combines a 200hp 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine driving the front wheels with a 109hp electric motor driving the back wheels.

This version can accelerate from 0-60mph in 6.1 seconds and can drive for up to 34 miles using just electric power thanks to its 15kWh battery. Unlike other versions of the E-Pace, the plug-in hybrid gets an eight-speed, rather than nine-speed, automatic gearbox.

Charging this model from empty to 80% full takes around half an hour using a 32kW charger, while a 7kW charger takes just under an hour and a half to reach 80% charged from empty. A 2.3kW charger – such as a home wall box – will take five hours to charge the new E-Pace from empty to 80%.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace interior

Jaguar hasn’t changed a great deal about the new E-Pace’s interior. But, it has given it a sprinkling of fancy new tech. The biggest change is the new 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It’s almost 50% larger than the old car’s screen and comes with Jaguar’s latest Pivi Pro software which comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone mirroring as standard.
Smartphone mirroring for Apple and Android phones comes as standard.
There’s also a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display in place of the old car’s two large analogue dials. You can customise what information this shows using the touchpads on the redesigned steering wheel. The new system can also update itself automatically sing its built-in internet connection, so you’ll never need to visit a dealership to get the latest software.
The revised Jaguar E-Pace is on sale now.

2021 Jaguar E-Pace price and release date

The new Jaguar E-Pace is available to order now, priced from £32,575. Jaguar hasn’t announced how much the new P300 Sport or plug-in hybrid models will cost, but you can expect both to set you back in the region of £50,000.
