New Skoda Karoq price and specs

The new Skoda Karoq is available with a variety of engines and three different trim levels from launch: SE Drive, SE L and Sportline.

New Skoda Karoq SE Drive: from £26,255

You can have the entry-level Skoda Karoq SE Drive with a 1.0-litre petrol engine with 110hp or 1.5-litre petrol with 150hp, and a range of 2.0-litre diesel engines with either 116hp or 150hp. Only the higher-powered diesel is available with an automatic gearbox, with the rest getting a six-speed manual.

Standard equipment includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear parking sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control and LED rear lights.

New Skoda Karoq SE L: from £28,090

You get the same range of engines with the SE L as you get on the entry-level car, only now you have the option of all-wheel-drive on the higher-powered diesel with an automatic gearbox.

Stepping up to the SE L gets you a raft of additional features including heated front seats and steering wheel, a reversing camera, keyless entry and start, 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass and chrome roof rails.

New Skoda Karoq Sportline: from £32,140

Go for the Sportline version of the new Skoda Karoq and you have the option of a higher-powered 2.0-litre petrol engine with 190hp. This is paired with an automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive.

The obvious changes are to the styling. You get some deeper front and rear bumpers, sporty alloy wheels and black accents over the car. You also get a three-spoke sports steering wheel, aluminium sports pedals, LED Matrix headlights and a panoramic glass sunroof.

New Skoda Karoq: what’s new?

Visually, changes to the new Skoda Karoq are subtle yet noticeable, keeping it looking fresh in the face of alternatives like the Volkswagen T-Roc and Vauxhall Mokka.

New headlights can be seen up front with a more angular design, flanking the wider and more imposing grille. A new bumper also features.

At the back, you’ll find some new slimmer LED taillights and a new rear bumper. Sportline versions sport a more aggressive body kit, and alloy wheels ranging from 17- to 18-inches.

Step inside and you’ll find some new trim materials for the dashboard, as well as new materials for the upholstery which include seat covers made of recycled plastic bottles.

The new steering wheel will be familiar to anyone who’s been near the latest Skoda models. Later this year all Karoq models will get an eight-inch drivers display as standard, which can be upgraded to a 10.25-inch unit.

Safety has also been improved for this new model. Nine airbags are now available, including rear side airbags for back-seat passengers. If sensors detect an imminent collision, the car can close all the windows, pre-tension the seatbelts and turn the hazard lights on automatically.
