New Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer price and specs

The new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer will go on sale later this year, with the first deliveries expected late in the summer. Two trim levels will be available from launch, Design and GS-Line, with prices starting at £25,005.

Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Design

Design models of the new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer start at £25,005 for a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol car with a manual gearbox, rising to £28,105 for a 1.5-litre diesel automatic variant. The plug-in hybrid engine isn’t available on this trim level.

Standard equipment is generous though; Design models come with a 10-inch touchscreen featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, lane departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and LED headlights and taillights.

Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer GS-Line

The top-spec GS-Line model of the new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer kicks off at £27,900 for a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol car, rising to £33,400 if you want the 1.6-litre plug-in hybrid version.

Splashing the extra cash gets you some larger 17-inch alloy wheels, a contrasting black roof, dual-zone climate control, a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, 360-degree parking camera and adaptive cruise control.

It won’t shock you to find the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer estate looks near-identical to the hatchback.

The whole front end is the same, including standard LED headlights, though some tweaks come at the rear to suit the elongated roofline.

Silver roof rails have been added and the new boot lid positions the Astra Sports Tourer’s number plate higher than on the hatchback. A steeply-raked rear window has been introduced, too.

New Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer interior and infotainment

It’s a similar story for the interior of the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer too. It’s gone fully digital, with two 10-inch displays — one for the infotainment and the other in place of dials and gauges.

A handful of physical controls remain, but most are now consolidated within the infotainment system — including the climate controls.

Boot space is up to 608 litres for the Astra Sports Tourer, though if you opt for a plug-in hybrid car that will dip to 548 litres because of the space taken up by its additional batteries.

New Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer engines and hybrid

The new Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer launches with a 225hp hybrid petrol engine as its range-topping option. You’ve also got a selection of petrol and diesel engines to choose from, ranging from 110hp to 130hp.

These come with a standard six-speed manual gearbox, with an eight-speed automatic optional for more powerful models. This automatic gearbox also comes as standard on the new hybrid Astra Sports Tourer.
