2022 Ford Fiesta and Fiesta ST facelift revealed: price, specs and release date

An updated version of the popular Ford Fiesta is now on sale, with prices kicking off at £16,620.

An updated version of the Ford Fiesta is now on sale, with this VW Polo and Vauxhall Corsa alternative available from £16,620.
The Fiesta ST hot hatch gets a few upgrades too, including a boost in torque and an eye-catching new colour.
2022 Ford Fiesta facelift design
The biggest changes to the new Ford Fiesta come at the front of the car, with the Ford badge moved to the centre of the grille with new front bumpers making an appearance across the range.
You’ll now get LED headlights as standard on every Fiesta, with upgraded Matrix LED units available as an option.
There are no real changes at the side of the rear of the car, with the exception of some black surrounds for the brake lights, but you will be able to pick from some new alloy wheels and body colours.
2022 Ford Fiesta facelift interior and infotainment
Changes to the interior of the updated Ford Fiesta aren’t drastic, but you can now option a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display to replace the usual dials and gauges for driving info.
An 8-inch infotainment system still sits at the centre of the dashboard, and comes with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
2022 Ford Fiesta facelift engines
A 1.0-litre petrol engine sits at the core of the Ford Fiesta line-up, and starts off as a 100hp option.
You can have more powerful versions, 125hp and 155hp, which come with 48v mild-hybrid assistance. This essentially sees a battery tacked on to help cut the engine earlier when coming to a stop and keeping the start/stop system running longer.
Each engine is available with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, though you can opt for a seven-speed automatic on the 125hp car.
2022 Ford Fiesta ST facelift
The Ford Fiesta ST gets the same upgrades as the regular car, along with some further tweaks.
Its front bumper sees redesigned grey strakes fitted, while you can have a new ‘Mean Green’ paint finish — as seen on the Puma ST.
Matrix LED headlights are standard here too, along with a new set of seats.
Its 1.5-litre petrol engine is boosted too, with torque up from 290Nm to 320Nm. Peak power remains the same at 200hp. No word yet on pricing for the ST, though.

You can order the updated Ford Fiesta now, with prices starting at £16,620.
First deliveries are expected early in 2022.
