Nissan Leaf price cut: top-spec electric hatchback eligible for plug-in grant

April 08, 2021 by

Nissan has dropped the price of its Leaf hatchback to make all versions of the electric car once again eligible for the revised government plug-in car grant.

  • Nissan Leaf price cut
  • Both 40kWh and 62kWh versions discounted
  • Up to £5,265 cheaper than before
  • Top-spec versions again eligible for the grant
  • Range now starts from £25,995 including government grant

Pricing for the Nissan Leaf has been slashed to make every version of the popular electric car eligible for the revised £2,500 plug-in car grant.

The Leaf range now costs from £25,995 inclusive of the £2,500 grant — which has been recently cut from £3,000.

The new grant is also only eligible for electric cars with an on-the-road price of under £35,000, having previously applied to all cars that cost less than £50,000.
