The lack of alloy wheels may be disappointing on a car as pricey as this, though the entry-level ID.4 does try and make up for this in other areas. In Life spec, it comes as standard with climate control, keyless entry, ambient interior lighting and heated front seats. The appropriately-named Max trim on the ID.4 comes with a lot of kit as standard. Highlights this spec has over less expensive versions include a powered tailgate, a massage function on the power-adjustable front seats, a reversing camera, adjustable suspension and a head-up display unit.

As its name implies, the GTX Max spec combines the GTX performance version and the plush Max trim level in one ID.4 GTX model. Highlights this variant gets over the standard ID.4 GTX include three-zone air-con, a powered tailgate, adaptive dampers, an around view reversing camera and a panoramic glass roof.
