2016 Fiat Qubo facelift: complete guide

The facelifted Fiat Qubo is now available to order in a number of new trim levels – read on for full details…

The practical van-based Fiat Qubo has been facelifted with new styling and revised trim levels. Read on to find out just how this spacious MPV has been updated to keep pace with rivals such as the Citroen Berlingo Multispace and Peugeot Partner Tepee.

The Qubo’s front and rear bumpers have been completely redesigned – a wide black grille and new fog lights help prevent the front from looking too van-like while the rear number plate is now more neatly integrated into the bumper. The Fiat badge on the rear door is mounted flush rather than within a large recessed circular panel.

The new Qubo is the same length, width and height as the model it replaces – as a result, buyers can still make full use of its ample 2,500-litre load bay by folding the rear seats flat. The front passenger seat can also be folded to allow items up to 2.5 metres in length to be carried with relative ease.

Not only is the Qubo available in two new colours – Magnetic Bronze and Azure Blue – but it’s offered in three new trim levels. Entry-level Pop cars come as standard with electric front windows, body-coloured mirrors and bumpers, driver’s lumbar support and an arm rest. This model is priced at £11,695 and comes with a 1.4-litre petrol engine producing 77hp.

Mid-range Lounge models feature the same basic equipment along with air conditioning, front fog lights, a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a multifunction steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity and 16-inch alloy wheels. This model is £1,000 more than Pop versions but is offered with the option of an 80hp 1.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine in addition to the 1.4-litre petrol unit.

The new range-topping Qubo Trekking comes with raised suspension, an electronic differential to offer improved grip in slippery conditions and new front and rear bumpers. Rear parking sensors, roof bars, tinted windows and cruise control are all fitted as standard. This model is available with a 1.3-litre diesel engine and costs £15,695.
