2022 Kia Ceed Facelift on sale now: price and specs confirmed

An updated version of the Kia Ceed is now on sale, with prices kicking off at £20,105.
This revision sees sleeker styling for the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf alternative, along with a new infotainment system.
2022 Kia Ceed facelift design
The new Kia Ceed’s design doesn’t stray far from the previous model, however some key changes have been made to keep it looking fresh.
There’s a new bumper up front, along with a slimmer looking version of Kia’s ‘Tiger Nose’ grille design. The eagle eyed amongst you will also notice the use of the new Kia logo throughout the car.
Not much has changed down the side of the new Ceed, although some new alloy wheel designs are available.
The rear also gets a new bumper, as well as some funky new taillights. The ProCeed Shooting Brake receives similar updates, with slimmer rear lights and a more aggressive rear bumper than before.
2022 Kia Ceed facelift interior and infotainment
The new Kia Ceed gets upgraded infotainment over the last model. All Ceed’s come with an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard, as well as a reversing camera.
As you move further up the range, you can get a 10.25-inch touchscreen with online services, keyless entry and start as well as dual zone climate control.
Design wise, not much has changed inside the new Ceed. The most noticeable difference is the bold new Kia logo which adorns the steering wheel. Other than that, it’s business as usual meaning solid build quality and a logical layout,
2022 Kia Ceed facelift engines and driving
The new Kia Ceed can be had with a variety of petrol and diesel engines. Petrol options include a 1.0-litre turbo or a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo.
The biggest change comes with the 1.6-litre diesel, which is available exclusively with mild-hybrid technology, which uses an electric motor to boost efficiency.
The 1.0litre petrol is only available with a six-speed manual gearbox, whereas all other engines can be paired to either the six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The new Kia Ceed does see a price rise compared to the old car. It starts at £20,105, so around £2000 more than before.
